Sobre o Grupo (OcuDDel):

A pesquisa e o desenvolvimento de sistemas poliméricos têm atraído de forma crescente a atenção da comunidade cientifica da área de saúde principalmente com a estratégia da liberação direcionada de substâncias ativas. Desta forma, estes sistemas têm sido amplamente pesquisados por serem capazes de aumentar a biodisponibilidade, reduzir a toxicidade e até mesmo aumentar a adesão dos pacientes ao tratamento pela redução de administrações diárias. O grupo vem trabalhando no estudo e avaliação de novos sistemas de liberação de fármacos para produção de medicamentos destinados à administração ocular. Os trabalhos de pesquisa do grupo são realizados dentro da multidisciplinaridade de conhecimentos de seus integrantes, sendo composto por pesquisadores com atuação em diferentes áreas do conhecimento. O objetivo do grupo é executar ações que envolvem a geração de conhecimentos e a transformação dos conhecimentos em tecnologias na forma de medicamentos para uso na terapia oftalmológica.
